Arsenal women to meet Glasgow City

Arsenal crushed Kazakhstan team CSHVSM-Kairat 11-1 in their Round of 32 Champions League second leg to complete an 18-1 aggregate thrashing.


Striker Danielle Carter scored four goals and midfielder Kim Little hit a hat-trick - including two penalties.


Their onslaught came in the second half after leading 4-0 at the break through Carter, Ellen White, Little's first penalty and a Jordan Nobbs effort.


Seven goals then followed in a convincing 31 minutes after the break.


Carter and Little completing their tallies, while Nobbs struck a second and substitute Caroline Weir also got her name on the scoresheet.


Midfielder Makhliyo Sarikova scored Kairat's consolation goal a minute into stoppage time.


In the Round of 16 Arsenal will face either Glasgow City or Belgian side Standard Liege, whose second leg takes place in Glasgow on Thursday after the first leg ended 2-2.
