Celtic manager Neil Lennon is "very hopeful" Mikael Lustig will recover from a hip injury in time for Tuesday's Champions League match against Ajax.
The Swede is doubtful for Saturday's league visit to Hibernian.
With Adam Matthews recovering from a long-term injury, Lennon admitted he may have a decision to make over who would play right-back against Hibs.
"He [Lustig] is a serious doubt for the weekend so we'll have to re-think things a little bit," said Lennon.
However, James Forrest and Joe Ledley are expected to return to full training following recent injuries.
Celtic host Ajax next week before travelling to Amsterdam for the return fixture in Group H on 6 November.
Having lost their opening two fixtures against AC Milan and Barcelona , Celtic trail Ajax by a point ahead of the double-header.
More to follow.
